Sign up

• Choose a unique user name.
• Enter your email address.
• Upon submitting the registration form, we will send you a password for logging in.

Log in

• Enter the user name you chose when registering.
• Enter your password (the system-assigned password, or whatever you change it to).
• If you forget your password, we can assign you a new one and email it to you.

Setup your profile

• Your user profile tells other Friends Network members about you.
• Upload a custom picture for yourself in your user settings.

Join a network group

• Network groups are discussion groups about general topics of interest.
• On the groups page, click on the "subscribe" link next to the group you want to join.
• You can join as many groups as you wish.
• Joining a group allows you to comment on other posts, receive email notifications when anyone adds a new post to that group, or post your own content to share with the group.

Post text

• Enter a title for the post
• Put in whatever text you want to share with others.
• Choose the audience for the text by selecting which group(s) you want to post it to.
• Click the "submit" button and it is there for everyone to see and comment on.
  (Note to advanced users: You can use any of the following html tags to format your text -- <a> <em> <strong> <cite> <code> <ul> <ol> <li> <dl> <dt> <dd> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6>)

Post an image

• An image post gives you all the same options as posting text.
• Choose an image file on your local system to upload to the Friends Network.
• Upon submission, your image will be available for others to see and comment on.

Post a 3rd party video

• Video posts have the same options as text posts.
• In the "video" field, past the video's url from any of the supported video sites (supported video sites are listed on the submission page).
• Upon submission, the video will be available for others to view and comment on.

Comment on other posts

• When you are logged in you can comment on any post

Chat with other network members

• In the chat room you can start a chart or join an existing one.
